Many people travel to Africa to see the wild animals and experience the rich culture. Population: Approximately 877 Million Most Populated City: Nigeria Geography: The top half of the continent is comprised of desert, and the Sahara Desert which is the world's hottest desert and is located in Northern Africa. This makes it very hard for animals and plants to survive because of the extreme temperatures. The southern part of Africa is a rainforest climate which means that the temperature is consistently high and there is a large amount of rain. The Nile River, which runs through 11 different countries in Africa, is the longest in the world. The water flows north and then exits into the Mediterranean Sea. |
